Islamorada Spearfishing with Key Dives

Key Dives is your one-stop shop for all things spearfishing. From the latest gear to the most up-to-date Florida Keys spearfishing news, Key Dives is your ideal partner for spearfishing in Islamorada. We practice safe and responsible spearfishing and encourage our guests to do the same. Our highly-trained staff can train or guide you in ideal spearfishing policies and regulations.

Key Dives offers the following three choices for your Florida Keys Spearfishing experience:

Half-Day Islamorada Charter on The Downtime

Key Dives suggests that experienced spearfishermen with good dive skills charter their own private vessel. The Downtime is a comfortable and spacious 32' Newton. This boat can hold up to six passengers plus crew. By chartering your own boat, you have the freedom and flexibility to choose the dive sites that suit your needs. Key Dives can also provide you with a dive guide, which is highly suggested. Our PADI certified guides are experts in spearfishing, local laws and regulations, and navigation. When choosing the Downtime, you can select from a morning or afternoon half-day charter. Included with each scheduled charter are two tanks and weights per person.

Cost: $750 (includes half day charter, two-tanks per person, weights, Captain, Divemaster)

Two-Tank Dive on The Giant Stride

Key Dives is proud to offer divers the option of spearfishing and diving on our fully-equipped 42' Newton. The Giant Stride holds up to 25 divers and will visit two scheduled dive locations, each regulated for Florida Keys Spearfishing. Divers who wish to spearfish with our regularly scheduled dive boat must dive with a Key Dives guide. Please note that staff is limited and reservations must be made in advance.

Underwater Hunter Course

New spearfishermen and those with little experience are required to take the Underwater Hunter Course. This class teaches divers the beginning skills required to safely enjoy underwater hunting. The Underwater Hunter Course educates divers on the equipment, safety, techniques, and regulations of spearfishing. Next, head off to your two-tank dive where you will put your newfound skills to use. Your Instructor is with you underwater to guide you and help perfect your spearfishing skills. You'll be sure to surface with increased confidence in your underwater hunting skills.
